I hold both a Music Degree and the London College of Music Performance Diploma and have been teaching instrumental and classroom music since 1983. I have taught from Kindergarten to University Post Graduate age as well as adults both online and in person. I love performing and have performed in orchestras, chamber groups and as a soloist nationally and internationally from intimate private functions to in front of 45,000 for Aston Villa!

I specialize in helping musicians with performance anxiety and am a Board Certified Healthcare Musician.

Lessons are available on Piano, Flute, Recorder, Music theory and harp with exam and masterclass preparation available too.

I expect my students to practice and to help support them I provide online recordings of pieces and theory games and worksheets, the most rewarding path to success comes from parents and whanau supporting students daily practice and the work of the teacher by showing interest and taking time to listen and give positive feedback regularly.

I am always keen to chat through concerns with parents but generally these have to be arranged separately to the beginning and end of lessons as the next students lesson is due to start! Let me know you need a chat and I will ring or email you.
